On Saturday, January 10 at 9:30, the Coordinating Team of Presbyterian Women will meet for its Annual Planning Day. The activities of the previous year will be evaluated and the program for 2009 will be planned.
The Day and Evening Circles will meet after church on Sunday, January 18. Katherine Williamson, one of our high school students will share her experiences and pictures from her People to People trip to Western Europe. She took this trip during the summer of '08 with other teenagers from the region. If you don't regularly attend Presbyterian Women's events, please consider joining us for this interesting program. Bring a bag lunch. Dessert and beverage will be provided. We will also install our Coordinating Team members during the business meeting, after the program.
At the end of 2008 Presbyterian Women was happy to have left over funds. Donations were made to the Cornerstone Protestant Campus Ministry at SUNY Albany for it's operating budget and also to sponsor a student going on a winter mission trip to New Orleans. Money was given to Church World Service for health kits. Financial assistance was given to Keni Banda to help with transporting items for the Chituka project donated by the members of Hamilton Union. A donation was also made to Heifer International in Lynn Hasselbarth's name, for the purchase of a llama.
Thank you to all who contributed to the mitten tree. They were distributed to the Schenectady City Mission, angel community gifts amd to the New Faith Family Center. We appreciate your generosity.
