  Programs for Children and Youth

Welcome to Hamilton Union Presbyterian Church School! We are in a partnership with your family to enhance awareness of God and the wonders of His world. We look forward to guiding your child(ren) and youth through this rewarding journey.

Church School

Church School is held every Sunday from September through June during the worship service. Children are excused for church school immediately following the Children's Message. Classes are available for children in:

Pre K, Kindergarten, 1st - 2nd Grade, 3rd - 4th Grade,

Middle School, and High School.

Childcare

All children are welcome in worship at all times! For parents who wish to take advantage of childcare during worship, we offer many choices:

·  Ages infant to 3 years: Nursery care.

·  Ages 3 and up: Children remain in worship until after the Children's Message, then leave for church school classes.

·  On Sundays (during holidays and the summer) when there is no church school, children pre-school through second grade may leave for children's activities. All other children remain in worship.

Special Activities for Children and Youth

Hamilton Union is very proud of its commitment to children and youth. A wide array of activities are available throughout the year.

·  High school youth are encouraged to participate in the Adult Choir as well as in a position of leadership in worship, such as an usher, greeter, or liturgist.

·  Christmas Bible School is held in December for one week (evenings).

·  In spring, the children visit Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, an adult care facility nearby.

·  Vacation Bible School is held in the summer for one week (evenings).

·  Middle School Youth Group is open to all Middle School youth, and High School Youth Group is open to all those in high school. Activities and meetings are usually held twice a month on Sunday evenings, but the time and date may vary depending on the activity.

Some recent activities have included:

  • Volunteering at the Regional Food Bank

  • Assisting with the church's Grand Garage Sale & Brooks Barbeque

  • Fall clean-up

  • Baking for the Interfaith Council of Churches Homeless Shelter

  • Bowling

  • Game Night
